Get to Know Us
Adopting a puppy is a family affair.
When you’re ready to open your home to a new pup, you’re not just looking for four paws and a waggly tail—you’re looking for that special pooch who will keep your kiddos safe and entertained in your backyard. A sweetheart to snooze by your feet while you sip your morning coffee. A best friend to eagerly greet you at the door when you arrive home from work. A dog who will adore you—and who your whole family will adore—for years to come.
That’s why we strive to stay a notch (or five) above the rest. Here at Hawksbill Farm Sheepadoodles, we recognize that pretty much anyone can breed dogs . . . But it takes love, commitment, and hard work to bring a family together.

What Sets Us Apart
It’s easy to talk about your passion for something, but as the adage goes: Actions speak louder than words. From hand-selecting extremely healthy, genetically-tested parent dogs from the far corners of our region, to welcoming every single new puppy into a nurturing, family-centered atmosphere, we pride ourselves on doing things a little differently around here.
We’re happy to provide our dogs with a 5,000-square-foot, painstakingly maintained living space. Complete with central air, heat, and an expansive outdoor play area, our facility truly defines top-of-the-line. Between our innovative waste-management practices, on-site grooming and wellness stations, and socialization practices, we do our best to ensure that no animal ever experiences a moment of discomfort here at Hawksbill Farm Sheepadoodles. You can read more about all that here.
Our Sheepadoodle Love Story
If you ask us why and how we became interested in breeding sheepadoodles, we can answer you in one word: Bella. Several years ago, our family decided we were ready to bring another pup into our home. We weren’t sure exactly what type of dog we wanted, but we were excited to figure it out.
As luck would have it, during this same time, we had the pleasure of visiting some family members who had recently adopted a sheepadoodle. At that point, none of us had been around sheepadoodles much, but we were absolutely blown away by our relatives’ dog. Beautiful, sweet, and intelligent to boot, she was everything you could possibly hope for in a family dog. Smitten by our new friend, we started heavily researching the sheepadoodle breed; the more we learned, the more we loved.
Was it possible that there was a whole breed of dogs this consistently clever, gentle, playful, and loving? Long story short, we realized that yes, in fact—it was.
Sheepadoodles are truly a unique blend of gorgeous, sharp, active, and nurturing. We might even go so far as to say they’re the most ideal dog breed in the world . . . but we’d understand if you think we’re a little biased.
Anyway, we made a decision, tracked down a reputable sheepadoodle breeder, and a year later, we brought home the light our lives: Bella Howan, our family sheepadoodle.
But we didn’t stop there. Bella’s presence in our lives made such a difference that we felt called to bring more of these amazing dogs into the world. Thus, Hawksbill Farm Sheepadoodles was born, and our mission to unite these astounding little fluff balls with forever families began.

Joining Our Family
Breeding dogs the right way takes a lot of work—it involves a lot of attention to detail, a big heart, and no small investment. However, the hardest part of our job by far is saying goodbye to the puppies we care so deeply for. So if we’re going to go through this emotional labor, you’d better believe we’re going to make sure our puppies go to fantastic homes.
You can learn more about our adoption process here, but here’s the gist—we will never allow another breeder to adopt one of our puppies. Sheepadoodles do best with families who have fenced in yards and live somewhat active lifestyles, so we do our very best to match our puppies with folks who fit that bill.
Every puppy that leaves Hawksbill does so with a two year genetic guarantee and a promise that if your puppy should develop genetically-based health issues in their first two years, we will welcome them right back here with open arms. Your puppy will come to you fully vetted, vaccinated, and ready to thrive in your home. They’ll even be properly socialized—after all, we give all our dogs the opportunity to live in our own home, right in the midst of our family and our personal pets.
